A Quick Glimpse Of The Sony Vaio T11

The Sony Vaio T11 is an ultrabook - a slim and light laptop with high processing capabilities. It has a sister version, the T13, which is the larger of the two. Both computers have many of the higher-end laptop features in an ultra-slim, ultralight casing which is extremely portable.

The gold standard for ultrabooks used to be a metal case made from a molded single sheet. This gave strength and durability while remaining light, but impeded possible efforts to repair or replace parts. These two models have the more laptop-typical accessible RAM compartment and removable batteries, which allow users to get more out of their machines.

Both models from the T-series can be customized online. The base model in both comes with an Intel i3 processor, which is upgradeable to an i7 in the larger model, but not the smaller one. Both sport 4GB of RAM, with the ability to take and use up to 8GB, which can be added on during the customization process, or at a later date.

The basic 320GB hybrid drive that comes with the computer can also be exchanged for another type or size. A highly-anticipated Ivy Bridge processor option will also be available, and are renowned for reducing the power usage of the computer while boosting the performance. This means better performance and a longer battery life.

The usual range of ports rounds out the capabilities of these sleek little machines. USB 2.0 and 3.0, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, an HDMI port and a memory card reader are all present. There's also an ethernet port and Bluetooth compatibility coming standard.

The Sony Vaio T11 expected to be for sale in summer 2012 in Europe, and later in the year in the US. It seems to be a highly anticipated model, combining some of the best features of laptops and ultralight notebooks. Solid basics allow the additional features to stand out, and hopefully shine.
